Is PracticeFront HIPAA compliant?
Yes, PracticeFront is fully HIPAA compliant. We implement encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3), maintain comprehensive audit logs with 7-year retention, and provide role-based access controls. We're happy to sign Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with all practices and undergo regular third-party security audits.
How do I control which data each service can access?
From your dashboard, you can view and manage permissions for each connected service. Data is organized into permission bundles (Contact Information, Appointment History, Treatment Plans, etc.), making it easy to understand and control what each service accesses. You can modify permissions or disconnect a service instantly.
What Practice Management Systems do you support?
We currently support Open Dental, with Dentrix and Eaglesoft integrations coming in 2026. Our Windows Service syncs data from your PMS to our secure cloud platform. If you use a different PMS, contact us to discuss adding support based on demand.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
You maintain complete control of your data. Upon cancellation, all connected services are immediately disconnected, and we provide a 30-day window to export your data. After that period, all data is securely deleted from our systems in accordance with our data retention policy and HIPAA requirements.
How does the free trial work?
We offer a 14-day free trial with full access to all features in your chosen plan. No credit card required to start. During the trial, you can connect services, explore the dashboard, and verify that PracticeFront meets your needs. You can cancel anytime with no obligation.
